On September 7th, Hurricane Irma, the strongest and largest Category 5 hurricane ever to come across the Atlantic, hit the tiny islands of the British Virgin Islands. Winds of upward of 225 mph and three tornadoes in the eye wall were reported.
The destruction left in Irma’s path was horrific and catastrophic. The local’s find themselves facing a humanitarian crisis in the short term, and the prospect of rebuilding their homes and livelihoods over the coming months and years.
An estimated 90% of people in the BVI’s work in tourism related industries. Hotels, boats, resorts and support services, along with all the jobs, have quite literally disappeared overnight.
Bitter End

We are all saddened and heartbroken to see the devastating effects of Hurricane Irma on the British Virgin Islands and surrounding areas. Our thoughts and prayers have been with the wonderful people of these islands, these friends we have come to know and love over the past 5 years.
It is these same people who have welcomed us and our guests with open arms and legendary hospitality, that now find themselves having to rebuild their beautiful islands, homes, and livelihoods.
At Premier Live, we are committed to supporting the region in both the short and long term, and we will advise more details of plans in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, there is a tremendous amount of work taking shape on the ground with early responders. If you feel compelled to donate funds to this effort, please visit the BVI Community Support Appeal, where 100% of all donations go directly to helping the BVI Community.
Regards
Rem, Trevor & Mike and the whole Premier Live Team
