Contestants can register for the Premier Live Music Performance Contest starting July 4th, 2018 by uploading their original performances before October 15th. The Contest’s mission is to provide up and coming musical artists the opportunity to win opportunity for both aspiring and established songwriters to have their songs heard in a professional, international arena.
Remington Reynolds, CEO of Premier Live, and co-organizer of the Necker Cup and Necker Open, is excited to launch the Singer / Songwriter competition. “We have had so many amazing artists perform at the Necker Cup over the years including Jimmy Buffet, Jewel, Sean Paul, Aloe Blacc, and Jamie Foxx. It will be a great opportunity for up and coming artists to share the spotlight with these icons of the music industry.”
Premier Live seeks to nurture musical talent of songwriters on all levels and promote excellence in the art of songwriting and liveperformancee. ISC has the most prestigious panel of judges of all the songwriting and music contests in the world, offering exposure and the opportunity to have your songs heard by the most influential decision-makers in the music industry.
The Contest is open to individual amateur musical performers. There are no restrictions on age, style or instrumentation. The only requirement is you submit a video of a live performance.
Individuals must be a qualified entrant to participate in the Contest. A “Qualified Entrant” is defined as one who does not earn more than $50,000 adjusted gross per year as a professional musician, based on the prior tax year and is not a party to any endorsement or entertainment contracts that, in the Sponsor’s sole determination, conflict with the spirit of the contest. For purposes of clarity, the term “professional musician” does not include teaching music or giving music lessons. Incomes derived from teaching-related activities will not be counted in the determination of a contestant’s status.
The Premier Live Music Performance Contest will allow artists to submit live performance videos into the following categories:
Live Vocal Performance Original Song
Live Vocal Performance Not Original Song
Orginal Song with Live Performance.
Musical Genres we accept include Alternative, Adult Contemporary, Blues, Country, Folk/Singer-Songwriter, Pop/Top 40, Rock, World, Reage.
Prizes, Exposure and Artist Development Package
Three winners in each category will be selected, by a panel of music industry leaders, to compete live for the grand prize which includes the following: a management contract, four (4) days of studio time at the world renown Tree Sound Studios, a recording contract, and the opportunity to perform live at the 2018 Necker Cup, on Sir Richard Branson’s private island Necker, alongside other world renown musical recording artists.
Depending on the category, submissions are judged on the following criteria: Creativity, Originality, Lyrics (excludes songs that do not have lyrics), Melody, Arrangement, Shomanship and Overall likeability

Beginning April 12, 2018 a “Vote Now” button will be added to each contestant’s page on the website. Once they sign-in using their HLAG profile, visitors may vote for as many of the finalists’ videos as desired but only one vote per contestant per day. Votes are verified, certified, updated and posted daily. The public voting period will close on April 25, 2018 at 11:59 PM PDT. The Top Ten entries in each age division will become Finalists.
25 Finalists in each age division will be announced on April 26, 2018 with celebrity judging occurring from May 3 through 16, 2018.
